Power4Good
works with a whole range of partners. This
section looks at some of these in Ireland,
Europe and Africa.
|
| |
| Irish
Aid |
Irish Aid assisted Power4Good from
the very start and has provided the
organisation with three year funding
for its human rights programme in
Zambia. This has proved vital in establishing
Power4Good as an Irish NGO concentrating
on disability issues and disability
work.

| Power
International |
| Our main strategic partner is Power
International; (www.powerinternational.co.uk)
a UK based NGO with the same emphasis
as Power4Good. In a sense Power International
is our sister organisation and we
work together to maximise supports
for people with disabilities in Africa.
Power International is funding a major
primary education project in those of the poorest provinces in Zambia In this way the maximum
resources are focussed on supports
for people with disabilities. |

The Finnish Fund for Democracy and Good Governance and the Open Society Institute (O.S.I)
These international partners are now funding two major human rights projects in Zambia - one to expand our ADEPt project nationwide and the other to develop a new mental health act for the nation. |

EIDHR
This European funder is now supporting ZAFOD in establishing an Independent Monitoring Unit to monitor the Zambian Government performance in Human Rights. |
| |
SAFOD
The Southern African Federation of Disability Organisations are working very closely with P4G to develop regional programmes for people with disabilities across Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Lesotho and Swaziland. |
